I think colors stand out more easily in those conditions. Some of my favorite photos of fall colors came from a hike in the Cohutta Wilderness on a foggy rainy day. The colors just pop in those conditions. We haven’t done this one so it’s another added to our list. Thanks for posting! And I’d much rather be going up using a headlamp than descending. ESPECIALLY w/o my hiking stick! Glad y’all arrived safe and didn’t take any spills along the way.

Definitely my favorite weather condition to film in! That's why we loved the Olympic National Park so much it was just so beautiful! Definitely reminds me of the smokies another temper green forest. Hopefully God willing will be heading to Oregon in July hopefully get a lot of good videos from there! Going downhill always sucks no matter what kind of condition 🤣

Wow at the water level! I’ve hiked this trail several times and the most recent (last September) it rained on us all the way up and then stopped. But the water levels weren’t as high as when y’all did this video. It wasn’t crowded but there were others on the trail. Just not a lot. Days like that can seem inconvenient but my wife will always say at the end of the day that she’s so happy we made the hike.

This was a great day of hiking! Still one of our favorites 😁 You're right sometimes hiking in the rain can get rid of the crowds and sometimes it pays off! We got a few more routes up Mount LeConte and then we can say we've been to all of them.

This was a fun video! We should probably do some more like it in the future haven't done one in a long time. Appreciate you watching!

We have visited Fort Mountain several times but there is still a lot that we haven’t explored there. That overlook is one of the best around. There are a couple of trails here in Dalton that offer similar amazing overlooks that if you haven’t visited you should try if you happen to be in this area. Very nice video!
